HOPPERS OF GLASS-BATCH MIXERS

Different varients of hopper for glass batch mixers are examined. The factors affecting the shape, volume, and number of receiving hoppers for mixers are determined. It is shown that buckets as well as vibratory, screw and belt feeders can be used to unload a batch from the mixing apparatus. Certain variants of rotary vibratory mechanisms used for unloading a mixture of raw materials from the receiving hoppers of batch mixers are presented.

SPECIAL DESIGN FEATURES OF TRANSPORT-PROCESS LINES FOR UNLOADIND CONDITIONED QUARTZ SAND IN BATCH PLANTS

The special design features of transport-process lines for conditioned quartz sand used in the preparation of glass batch in batch plants are examined. Different variants of the schemes used to unload, store, and class a given raw material are presented. It is noted that additional separation of conditioned quartz sand containing random foreign impurities is necessary

MODERN TRENDS IN THE TECHNOLOGY OF LOADING OF GLASS MIXTURE AND GLASS CULLET IN FURNACES WITH THE U-SHAPED FLAME DIRECTION

Modern systems for loading of glass mixture and cullet into regenerative glass-melting furnaces with horseshoe-shaped flame direction constructed on the basis of use of innovative batch feeders are reviewed. It was noted that use of such mechanisms and devices in these systems results not only in saving the energy resources, decreased concentration of dust fractions of glass mixture outside the furnace and reduction of emissions of nitrogen oxides into the surrounding atmosphere, but also increases the efficiency of the glass melting process as a whole. The adaptive algorithm for regulation of separate loading of glass mixture and glass cullet in a furnace oriented to the flame direction is presented

FEATURES OF USING VIBRATING GLASS MASS GRANULATORS IN RECYLCING RETURN CULLET LINES

Specifics of design of transportation and technological lines of conditioned quartz sand used for preparation of glass mixture in batch plants are considered. Different options of unloading, storage and classification patterns of this raw material are presented. It was noted that it is necessary to carry out additional separation of conditioned quartz sand which contains unintentional foreign impurities
