Results of the annual I.P. Kulibin Award

This year saw a record number of applications from participants, which included major scientific and industrial enterprises such as the Federal Nuclear Center from Sarov, the Polet Association, OKBM Afrikantov, the Vyksa Metallurgical Plant, and the Gorky Automobile Plant, among others. Nearly 100 applications were submitted, the highest number in many years.

The award ceremony was attended by Elena Emelyanenko, Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship, and Andrey Kurkin, Vice-Rector of the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after R.E. Alekseev.

Stromizmeritel LLC's project, patented as the "Method for Preparing Batch for Producing Colorless Sheet Glass with Increased Transparency" (invented by V.V. Efremenkov), was awarded third place in the "Technologies in Chemistry and Metallurgy" category. Additionally, for his significant contributions to inventive activity and the development of the region's innovative potential, V.V. Efremenkov received an honorary diploma from G.S. Nikitin, the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (pictured are Valery Efremenkov and Elena Emelyanenko during the presentation of the honorary diploma).

Another invention by V.V. Efremenkov, "Device and Method for Recycling Automotive and Construction Triplex Glass," was awarded a diploma and a silver medal at the 27th Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies "Archimedes-2024" a month earlier. This achievement now completes V.V. Efremenkov's collection of awards from this competition, which includes a gold medal, a silver medal, and two bronze medals.
